Curriculum and Instruction, Professional Learning, and Student Support Services

The department  of Curriculum and Instruction will work collaboratively to develop a performance-based culture for teaching and learning in Tulsa Public  Schools .  By guiding the development of curriculum, instruction, assessments, professional development, special education and support services for the entire school district the department will provide services to schools and school communities with  the primary focus on student learning and achievement.   The essential functions are dependent on the collaborative work within key departments to include Elementary and Secondary Curriculum, Special Education, Professional Learning and Development,  Library Media, ROTC, Instructional Technology, Diversity and Equity, Career and College Readiness, Guidance and Counseling, Instructional Data Management and the Helmzar Challenge Course.

We will create an organizational structure designed to bring services closer to the schools.  Intentionally we strive to realign services to promote an improved collaboration within the Educational Service Center and transcending into all schools in Tulsa Public Schools.
